Charles Conder (1868-1909)
(Newquay 1906)
Oil on canvas
National Museums Liverpool.Walker Gallery
From August to September 1906 Conder stayed near Towan Beach Newquay.
a evocative image of the seaside again the interest in fahion can be observed.
Though a lovely painting I cannot let it pass but I feel the perspective is slightly out on this one as the people near us and do not really seem in proportion to the distant headland, along wit the curve of the prom.
