The day breaks
the dawn it is
the wave splashes
on to shore
BBC – Your Paintings – The Shore at Deauville
This painting is a dramatic ione of contrast ,the darkgrey of the stormy sky and the bluish tinge to the sea, stormy is a word that comes to mind and so typicasl of this part opf the world
A painting of space ,the horizon line and a sense of power of the sea
Let us the walk along the shore this Boxing Day (in UK), a breath of fresh air to blow the cobwebs and excesses of Christmas away.
The sound of the waves and the cry of the gulls
Me: This is a good painting and I am happy with it its based on a Hayling Island Landscape facing Langstone Harbour
The Inner critic: Yes but the way the tree is growing is wron winds are from the west so you should show a more leff to riight slant…

The Inner Critic :…. The Sky is not right either if you want a sunrise effect That part faces west remember!
Me:..Yes but there is sometimes a glow of the sun on the opposite horizon but being a artist you can adjust and change things a little, after all I did say loosely
based.
