The wind gets up ,the waves churn around and the clouds  blow across the green sea

 

On The Coast Brings Senses Alive

On the coast and sea breezes with crashing waves and sound of seagulls.The salty air and smell of the sea

 

The Hermits Place By The Sea

By the Sea there is a special place that is the hermits place he hears the crashing waves and stormy winds but he is not alone for he is surrounded by the love of the wild place that he is in and is at one

This painting is at the National Gallery of Scotland and shows McTaggart energetic brush work. The painting as a whole conveys the power of nature and a threatening storm you can almost feel the wind and foreboding fom this painted scene.Huddled families wait on the shore for the return of fishing trawler.

 

Painting Update

Thought I had better show more of my piantings.

A group of paintings on a Mediterranean theme. i rather like the effect of these.

the main side of the plynth showing some more paintings, this time on wood. Venice is  creeping in here!

Remember island from the air? part polyfilla? Well now I have mad them into landscapes which work out rather well I think.

The colours are warm I think this one works!
