Kingley Vale Walk and Old Yew Trees

Had  a most pleasant walk this morning at Kingley Vale, and the Yew trees are fantastic, the shapes and mystery and hidden features that you can see they are powerful trees have ancient vibes indeed!

Nice trees these and sunlight patterns  on the ground

Yew trees So old!….

Shapes catch the eye! Someones lips here?

Mystery bumps and darkness…

A distant view……

another nice view…..

I shall leave you with another fine Yew Tree, amazing  indeed

In memory of Glynis Kirk

In Memeory of Glynis Kirk

In Memeory of Glynis Kirk

I am dedicating this post to the memory of a friend who I had not seen for a while.

Today i learnt that she died in August…. we used to work together and then she moved on but we kept in touch…Glynis was part of the the reason why I followed my dream and am doing this degree in Fine Art.

A light has gone out.

Glynis was one of the most alive people people I have known and I am so pleased to have known her, I send condolenses to her husband and daughter.

The spirit of life was Glynis!!

Crows over Cornfield Van Gogh and New Painting

To days painting is by Van Gogh . I like the way the painting has movement and the crows flying, there is a sense of space in this painting. A modern day interpretation of a cornfield,

Cornfield and dribled paint

Cornfield and dribled paint

painted this over the past week , the weather here has been so grey!, we have a field next to the close where I live and there is a serial crop of some kind it is not tall enough for corn. This painting is based on this, I think the paint dribbling effect works well and adds interest.

These photos show the moment paint hits the canvas. I seem to be going through a Mountain phase .
this brush is my favourite it may look a bit worn but often they are best that way. it started life as a flat brush (would you believe!

You may or may not get excited by these. I think they have something. I did see someone do something with I think you can call this sort of thing Altered States classified add in a frame that was quite interesting at a recent exhibition somewhere I think you can call this Altered Stares because you are making something original out of something that already exists!

A Scotish Croft

A Scotish Croft

For my first image on Word press I am showing one of my scotish themes. The colour may be rather dull but it does have a scotish feel to it
