Whitehitchapel Exhibition on Pollock
Jackson Pollock Exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery.Great wad-sized canvases dribbled, splashed, splashed with colour.Dozens of eminently seriouse people staring at them. Pollock”s artistic qualities seem fairly clear -now and then a then a nice sense of colour (and often, not) and a way with sloppy , casual arabesques (’squiggles’) |
Interesting remember that this was written in 1958, there is a sense of confusion and almost getting the work and then it goes away.
